Baffle Curtains

Floating Baffles are flow control partitions directing flow to improve mixing, increase the retention time, and eliminate dead zones in water treatment lagoons. Increasing retention time has several benefits including: larger active treatment efficiency, reducing the Total Suspended Solids (TSS) and BOD, compliments surface aeration, diffused aeration, and floating covers. This improves overall water quality and assists in industry compliance with state and federal regulations for discharge and treatment of industrial wastewater.

Each baffle system is custom fabricated for each location; thus ensuring ease of installation and superior performance. TMG floating baffle systems incorporate heavy duty components for specific lagoon conditions. Some commonly used baffle geomembranes include TMG EIA style 6730 and 8130, Hypalon (CSPE), Reinforced Polypropylene. Baffle components are selected for their corrosive resistant properties, ability to withstand ultraviolet radiation (UV), chemical resistance, hydrodynamic conditions and other design criteria. We can design to fit your specific needs, pond profiles, undulations/curves, and bottom contours. Ballasted extensions can be added to baffles as insurance to heavy aeration curtains and high flow conditions.

TerraMarine Geo Products offers Reservoir, and Clearwell baffles specifically designed to improve flow in circular and rectangular tanks. Tanks can be steel or concrete with or without roofs. Baffle designs include Stainless Steel hardware kits pre-punched and assembled to dimensions that will allow end users to install quickly. The Baffle and hardware will be provided to allow end users to fit in narrow openings in reservoirs without a problem. The flexibility of the baffle material allows end users to retrofit existing tanks or clearwells with a proven, durable treatment solution at an economical price.
